Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Review

I was looking for a good game to play while waiting for the latest holiday hot titles, but was not sure how much I would enjoy playing a game from early 2007. But for I was willing to take a chance and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed GRAW2.

Yes the graphics are a bit dated by today’s standard, but not so much so that you cannot enjoy the excellent game play. I typically do not enjoy squad-based games where you can get bogged down watching out for, and giving orders to, your computer-generated team mates, but the controls in GRAW2 were so simple it did not detract at all from the experience and in fact made it more enjoyable than many other FPS’. Your teammates will still occasionally step into your aim and their comments are a bit repetitive, but overall it enhances the game and they often play a valuable role when deployed well.

I have read other reviews that noted a delay between squeezing the XBOX control trigger and the shot on screen and I experienced the same. It is only a second or two but enough to be annoying and something that you will have to learn to compensate for.

Minor gripes aside, this is a fun, accessible game with satisfying game play and a compelling story line. And for the price, it just cannot be beat.

go to options press Y to activate the voice trainer program–oddly enough the voice trainer is not tring to learn your voice it is simply tring to get you to speak at the correct volume so the game can understand you, I have to place the mic near my chin for best game play because i get exited during tense battles
this is a sweet streamline military RTS game that any command an conquer fan would absolutely fall in love with

The Storyline
The horrific nuclear conflict in the Middle East not only killed millions, it also crippled the world’s fuel supply. With oil from that part of the world no longer available, crude oil prices skyrocket to 0 a barrel. The vast Russian landmass now holds the largest accessible reserves of fossil fuels, making Russia the world’s primary supplier of energy virtually overnight. With the massive economic boom it receives, Russia quickly re-establishes itself as a superpower and restores her military might. In response most of Western Europe unifies to create the European Federation, a new nation destined to be a formidable 21st-century superpower. But things are also changing across the pond. In 2020, the United States is on the verge of finishing construction on the Freedom Star, a controversial orbital military platform that will upset the balance of world power. The European Federation withdraws from NATO in protest. Tensions between the European Federation, the United States, and Russia are building and will soon reach the breaking point. The European Enforcer Corp
The European Federation is a new superpower, founded in 2018 to consolidate political and economic power in the face of the world energy crisis and accelerating security and environmental concerns around the globe.
